US Health Agencies Approve Pfizer Vaccine for Children Age 12-15
A key CDC committee voted to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for use in children age 12-15, officially making it available to this age group. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously in favor of expanding eligibility to young adolescents following a review of safety data from clinical trials. As a result an additional 17 million people are now eligible for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
