Dr. Abandeh joined our group in 2021. He received his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Lukes and Roosevelt Hospitals in New York City. After that, he went on to train for his Infectious Diseases fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Abandeh worked as a hospitalist at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital at the eastern shore of Virginia for several years where he was chair of the infection control committee. After that, he worked as an infectious disease consultant at Crozer Chester Medical Center where he was strongly involved in resident and medical student education and was an active member of the peer review and internal medicine residency committees. He also served as chair of the antimicrobial stewardship committee.

Dr. Abandeh is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and has several peer reviewed publications, book chapters and abstracts that were presented in national meetings. He has special interest in infections of immunocompromised patients.

In addition to his passion for Infectious Diseases, Dr. Abandeh enjoys reading, playing soccer and outdoor activities with his family.
