Analysis Shows Vaccines Reduce the Burden of Long COVID

An analysis by the U.K. Health Security Agency found vaccines greatly reduce the burden of “long COVID”: persistent symptoms lasting weeks or months after infection. The review of 8 studies concluded that fully vaccinated people are half as likely to experience symptoms one month out from infection as people who are not fully vaccinated. Those who are fully vaccinated are also 78% less likely to suffer symptoms lasting 3-5 months. The research revealed other interesting, and perhaps surprising, findings about vaccines impact on long COVID.
