Updated COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are expected to be available this Fall. The vaccines offer better protection against the newer COVID-19 variants. In the coming weeks, federal health officials anticipate approving three vaccines, developed by Moderna, Pfizer and Novavax. Americans will have access to their choice of vaccine by early October, and everyone aged 2 years and older will be eligible. If you’re unsure about whether to get a booster now or wait until the new ones are available, you should talk to your physician.
