As Monkeypox Cases Surpass 11,000, US Government Prepares to Ship 442,000 Vaccine Doses
The US has surpassed 11,000 confirmed cases of monkeypox. In an effort to ramp up the country’s response to the virus, the federal government is prepared to ship up to 442,000 doses of the Jynneos vaccine to states. The FDA’s emergency use authorization of the intradermal injection of Jynneos enables vials to be divided into 5 doses, dramatically expanding the vaccine’s supply.
