CDC Authorizes Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine for Children Age 5-11

The CDC authorized Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children age 5-11. These vaccines will be available as soon as this week. This age group will receive the doses 3 weeks apart, and each shot contains a dose one-third the size of the adult/adolescent dose. Pfizer’s data shows the pediatric dose to prevent symptomatic infection in 91% of cases.
