Biden Administration To Change Vaccine Distribution Strategy
The Biden administration announced it will release all doses of COVID vaccines instead of reserving half of the supply to ensure there are enough second doses. The new strategy is intended to fulfill Biden’s pledge to get “at least 100 million COVID vaccine shots into the arms of the American people” in the first 100 days in office. Whether this approach is successful depends on ensuring second doses are not delayed. The incoming administration says it plans to use the Defense Production Act to make sure all second shots are available.
