Study Finds No Link Between Severity of Side Effects and Level of Protection from Pfizer Vaccine
Did you experience no, or very mild, side effects from a COVID-19 vaccination dose, and are worried your immune system isn’t responding to the vaccine? Researchers from Uniformed Services University found no connections between post-vaccination side effects and antibody levels one month after receiving Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. The researchers are conducting a follow-up study to determine if side effects predict long-termer protection against the virus. While other factors besides antibodies affect the body’s immune (such as memory T cells), a high antibody level is a good sign that your vaccine is doing its job even if you’re not feeling side effects.
