Snacks and Candy Sold at Major Retailers Recalled for Potential Bacterial Contamination

Palmer Candy Company announced is recalling more than two dozen of its “White Coated Confectionary Items” due to possible salmonella contamination. More than two dozen candy and snack products, not always sold under the Palmer brand name, may have been tainted with salmonella bacteria. The products are sold at Target, Walmart, Dollar General and other national retailers. No illnesses have been reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as of Tuesday afternoon. Customer who purchased any of these products may received a full refund by returning it to location of purchase. To see the list of affected products, visit FDA’s recall announcement page.
