Much of the smoke from the Canadian wildfires has left our area, but air quality remains unhealthy for many people. People from sensitive groups such as children, older adults and those with respiratory or heart conditions should continue to use caution today. People who do strenuous exercise outdoors should also consider moving their workouts indoors or lightening the intensity for today. Fortunately air quality is expected to improve Friday and Saturday. While the worst of this horrible event may be over, wildfires will continue to become more frequent and severe in the coming years due to climate change. This CDC page has a variety of resources to help you prepare for similar events in the future.
