Infants Exposed to COVID-19 In-Utero Face Double the Risk of Neurodevelopmental Issues
Infants exposed to COVID-19 in-utero are more likely to experience neurodevelopmental challenges, according to a study published in JAMA. In the study, conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital, COVID-19 infection more than doubled the risk of abnormal language/motor function. The risk to the child was highest when infected during the third trimester.
