Study Finds Pfizer and Moderna Vaccines Highly Effective in Healthcare Setting
A large study of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines found both to be highly effective against COVID-19 in a healthcare setting. The study included nearly 50,000 participants, all of whom are healthcare workers. After people were fully vaccinated, the Pfizer vaccine was 97% effective at preventing infection. The Moderna vaccine was even more effective, thwarting almost 99% of COVID-19 cases.
