CDC Removes 14-Day Quarantine Advisory from Guidelines for Travelers
The CDC has rescinded its 14-day quarantine recommendation for people traveling from states or countries with high levels of COVID-19 transmission. The agency’s website advises Americans to follow state, territorial, tribal and local recommendations or requirements after travel”. The advisory still directs people who have traveled to any other state or country to adhere to social distances rules, wear masks and wash hands regularly. We still strongly recommend quarantining for 14 days after visiting a country that is “high risk” for COVID-19.
