Americans Not Vaccinated Against Face Increase Risks of Contracting Measles
When European colonists came to America in the late 15th century, they brought with them measles and a slew of other diseases that nearly wiped out the indigenous peoples. The disease was eliminated in the US in 2002 nearly 4 decades after the vaccine was introduced, However today a growing population of unvaccinated Americans are threatened on a much smaller scale by the disease, which is reintroduce every year from countries around the world.
