Surge of Hospitalizations in New Jersey Fueled by People Under 50 Years Old

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 are rising in New Jersey, especially among for people between 20-49 years old. The 40-49 age group have experienced the greatest surge in hospitalizations (48%). People in their 20s have experienced a 28% increase in hospitalizations. Some of these cases occur in people who get their first vaccine dose and then ease up on their precautions. If vaccines are to be the boost we need to end this pandemic, everyone must wait a full two weeks after their second dose to begin relaxing their safety measures. The good news is, after that point, you can enjoy much more freedom around other vaccinated people!
