New Study Finds High Rate of Antibiotic Overuse
A new report revealed that 28% of antibiotic prescriptions were written without the doctor examining the patient in person. The study also found that “some antibiotics were prescribed during a clinic visit but that the patient had not been diagnosed with an infection”. This overuse of antibiotics has contributed to the rise of drug-resistant “superbugs”.
