Just 4 in 10 Adults To Get Flu Shot This Year

Despite last year’s flu season ranking the worst in more than 3 decades, a poll revealed that 41% of Americans don’t plan on getting vaccinated this year. Among the reasons respondents listed for not getting the flu shot are a fear of side effects or contracting the flu from the shot itself as well as the belief that flu shots are not effective. However, research consistently shows that the side effects of flu shots are mostly mild and that they do not cause the flu.
