Health Officials Report an Upsurge of RSV Infections
The CDC is reporting an uptick in respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) over the last year. While most children will contract an RSV infection by age 2, the virus can lead to pneumonia or bronchitis in children under 12 months old. Health officials are advising parents to contact their doctor if the notice the following symptoms: runny nose, fever, decreased appetite, coughing, wheezing, and sneezing.
