CDC Urges Consumers to Avoid Eating Raw Dough

As the holiday season progresses, the CDC is cautioning consumers against eating raw dough. The agency warns that eating uncooked dough used for foods such as cookies, cake mix, and bread can cause salmonella and E. coli infections. In 2016, 63 people became ill from E. coli in raw flour.
