New Study Shows Updated Moderna Booster is Superior to its First Booster
A Moderna study shows the updated COVID-19 booster is superior to the original booster people 18 years and older. The bivalent booster still produces a better immune response than the first booster 3 months after receiving it. The human trials also found the updated vaccine to be as safe as the previous booster. Health officials advise all Americans 5 years and older to receive a booster dose ahead of what is expected to be bad winter for both COVID-19 and flu. Flu cases are already surging in the Northeast.
