CDC Updates COVID-19 Guidelines on Aerosols Once Again

Many health experts have criticized the guideline as inaccurate and say that it understates the true threat of airborne transmission through aerosols. The Trump administration has faced scrutiny for its political interference in CDC statements in recent months. Research shows that COVID-19 plays aerosols play important role in spreading COVID-19. However, public health experts worry that the updated guidance’s phrasing may result in looser protocols for hospitals treating infected patients.
