FDA Calls Furloughed Safety Inspectors Back to Work Amid Health Concerns
The FDA is calling back furloughed workers in an effort to restart food inspections, which were stopped due to the government shutdown. The agency is prioritizing high-risk foods such as such as dairy products, seafood, fruits and vegetables and infant formula.
