Flue Cases Surge in New York, State Health Department Issues Warning
New York’s State Health Department has issued a warning to residents about the recent surge in flu activity. The state has seen nearly 4 times as many influenza cases as it did the same time last year. Through the week ending on October 1, 596 cases have been reported. Health officials advise people to wash their hands wear masks when feeling sick reduce the spread of infection.
