HPV Vaccine Maintains Strong Long-Term Protection for Girls and Boys

A new study shows HPV vaccine to be highly effective 10 years later. None of the girls in the study developed vulvar or vaginal cancers, genital warts or other severe conditions associated with HPV.  Among boys, no cases of penile, perineal or perianal cancer, or genital warts were found. Experts recommend that all boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 12 receive a full HPV vaccination series.
