Flu, COVID, RSV Activity Picks Up Across the US

RSV, Flu and COVID-19 activity remain active across the country. The Northeast and Midwest regions have felt the worst  impacts from COVID-19. Hospitalizations increases by 16.7 percent the week before Christmas, the latest week for which data is available. During the same period, deaths spiked by 10 percent and emergency room visits rose by 12 percent. 

Flu activity continues to intensify across the country. More than 14,000 people were hospitalized with the virus last week. Seniors and kids younger than four years old have experienced the greatest burden so far this winter.
