New Research Reveals COVID-19 Was Likely Spreading in the US Earlier than Previously Thought
New research reveals that the novel coronavirus is likely to have been spreading in Washington state for several weeks. The virus can cause milder symptoms or no symptoms at all, which allows the virus to spread more easily. According to rough estimates, the number of cases in the state is currently between 300-500. Governor Jay Inslee has declared a state of emergency following 8 confirmed cases and one death in the state.
