COVID-19 Vaccine Doses for Children Under 5 Could be Approved Next Week

The Biden Administration says COVID-19 vaccinations for kids under 5 years old could begin as soon as June 21. The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) advisory panel of experts is meeting to decide whether to recommend Moderna’s and Pfizer’s vaccines for this age group. If the panel gives its approval, the shots would be shipped to doctor’s offices and pediatric care centers soon afterward.
