An inflatable costume at an Emergency Department holiday party has been linked to a COVID-19 outbreak at a San Jose hospital. The costume had an internal fan that helped spread virus-laden droplets. If anything, this should serve as a very real reminder that the virus is widespread and often without symptoms, and we must all be vigilant”, said Irene Chavez, Senior Vice President of the Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center.
