Frozen Meals Cause Listeria Outbreak in 15 States
Pre-made meals sold at Kroger, Trader Joe’s and Walmart sickened 20 people due to listeria contamination. The outbreak has hospitalized 19 Americans across 15 states. Four people have died from their infections.

More Cat Deaths Linked to Avian Flu in Raw Pet Food
LA county confirmed a new wave of cat deaths from raw pet food containing avian flu (also known as bird flu). Health officials confirmed that two indoor cats living in the same home died from raw pet food containing the dangerous virus. The Avian Flu infections in cats are LA county’s first since 10 were recorded last winter.
“With this strong scientific evidence of the linkage between contaminated raw products and cats developing severe or fatal H5 bird flu infection, veterinarians should strongly advise pet owners to not consume nor feed raw dairy, raw meat, raw poultry, and raw pet food diets to pets,” said the Los Angeles Department of Public Health.
