Canned Tuna Recalled Due to Potential Food Poisoning
Canned tuna sold at stores across the United States has been recalled due to manufacturing defect that could cause bacterial contamination. The products in question were sold under multiple brands at various retailers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and 24 other states. Some of the tuna cans were found to have a defect which could damage the can’s seal, allowing a bacteria called clostridium botulinum to build to dangerous levels. This bacteria can be deadly in some cases.

Measles Outbreak in Texas Grows to 24 Cases
The measles outbreak in Gaines County, Texas has grown to 24 people, 9 of whom have been hospitalized. Since one week ago, 18 additional cases have been confirmed. All of the patients are unvaccinated. Sixteen of the infected individuals are school-age kids, while two are adults. The Texas State Department of Health Services expect more cases in the coming days or weeks. “Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in Gaines County and the surrounding communities,” health officials said.
