Powdered Supplement Causes Bacterial Outbreak, Sickening 11 People
Eleven people have fallen ill after consuming a dietary supplement contaminated with salmonella bacteria. The specific product linked to the outbreak is Member’s Mark Super Greens dietary supplement powder, which are sold at Sam’s Club stores as well as online. Health officials urge consumers to avoid eating the contaminated products. Consumers should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
Outbreak Linked to Prepared Meals Grows, Two More Deaths Confirmed
Health officials confirmed 7 additional infections and two more deaths in connection to prepared meals tainted with Listeria bacteria. The ready-to-eat pasta meals, sold at popular retailers such as Walmart, Trader Joe’s and Kroger, have been recalled. So far, 27 people have fallen ill, 25 of whom were hospitalized and 6 of whom died.
