Infant Botulism Outbreak Linked to Formula Grows to 31 Hospitalizations
Contaminated baby formula has now sickened 31 infants across 15 states, including New Jersey. Since the outbreak began, ByHeart recalled all of its powdered Whole Nutrition infant formula due to bacterial contamination. The CDC urges parents to get immediate medical care if their child ingested this product and later developed symptoms such as loss of head control, poor feeding, trouble swallowing or reduced facial expressions.
