Powdered Supplement Powder Recalled Due to Bacterial Contamination

Live it Up Super Greens supplement powder was recalled after the product sickened 45 people. The dietary supplement was contaminated with salmonella. Salmonella is a potentially dangerous bacteria which can cause food poisoning. To date, 45 people across 21 states have fallen ill, including 12 hospitalizations. Health officials urge anyone who has the affected product to throw it away or return it for a refund.

Measles Still Spreading in Carolinas and Utah-Arizona Region

Two large measles outbreaks continue to expand following the holiday season. South Carolina confirmed 124 additional measles cases since last Friday, raising the state’s total to 434 infections. In the outbreak spanning Utah and Arizona, the 418 have now fallen ill, according to the last update. Last year, the US saw the most measles infections in 34 years, with at least 2,242 measles people sickened in 45 states. Three people died.
