South Carolina Measles Outbreak Continues

Nine more measles cases have been confirmed in South Carolina, raising the state’s total to 156 cases in 2025. The ongoing outbreak continues to expand, fueled by multiple elementary schools with high numbers of unvaccinated students. People who are not vaccinated against measles account for the vast majority of infections (145 unvaccinated out of 156 total cases).

Utah Confirms New Cases in Measles Outbreak

Utah health officials reported 6 new cases, increasing the state’s total to to 142 cases this year. All 6 of the new infections were individuals younger than 18 years old. With the additional cases, 2025 is the state’s worst year for measles in over 3 decades.
