Dietary supplements contaminated with salmonella bacteria have sickened at least 65 people, 14 of whom have been hospitalized. Twenty-eight states have reported infections including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York. Two products have been recalled in connection with the outbreak: Live It Up Super Greens and Why Not Natural Superfood Capsules.

Laboratory testing identified Moringa Leaf Powder as the contaminated ingredient in both products. Consumers are urged to avoid using the affected products, return the items for a refund, and clean any surfaces the product touched.
