New Jersey and Virginia are the latest states to report measles cases. The New Jersey Department of Health reported that an infected Bergen County resident may have exposed other people while at medical facility, an emergency room and a hospital.
In Virginia, health officials confirmed a new measles case: student in the eastern part of the state. The child had recently travelled abroad. The case is Virginia’s fourth of 2025. Health workers in each state are in the process of alerting those who may have been exposed by the infected individuals.
