A second patient, in the Chicago suburbs in Cook County, had a confirmed measles infection after visiting a local hospital. This individual is also an adult but their vaccination status is not known. This person was promptly isolated after arriving at the hospital.

Denton County, Texas reported its first measles case, an adult with an unknown vaccination status. Denton County is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. An investigation by local health officials revealed the person potentially exposed others to infection while attending a Texas Ranges game on April 19. In addition, the individual visited several restaurants, a church and a grocery store between April 19 and April 22. Anyone who was at these locations around the same time may have been exposed.
