Flu continues to circulate at elevated levels throughout the United States, according the latest report from the CDC. Most parts of the US of the country are experiencing steady or decreasing flu activity, except for the Pacific Northwest region which is seeing an uptick in activity.

The health agency confirmed eight new pediatric deaths in last week’s update, bringing the total number of flu fatalities 60 for the season. About 90% of these children were not fully vaccinated against the virus. So far, the CDC estimates that the US has had 22,000,000 illnesses, 280,000 hospitalizations and 12,000 deaths due to flu this Fall/Winter.
