CDC Reports More Measles Cases in the US

In its latest update, the CDC confirmed 23 additional measles cases, increasing the national total to 1,431 infections for 2025. This is the most cases in a year since the US achieved measles elimination status in 2000.

There have been 35 outbreaks in 2025, more than twice the number of outbreaks recorded in 2024. This year, 92% of individuals infected were not vaccinated or had an unknown vaccination status.
