Kraft Heinz recalled more than 360,000 pounds of turkey bacon due to the risk of contamination by listeria bacteria. The turkey bacon, which is sold under the Oscar Mayer brand, was shipped to locations throughout the United States. The listeria contamination was revealed by Kraft Heinz’s own testing of the products. No illnesses have been reported to date. Anyone who bought the tainted product is urged to throw it away.

Listeria bacteria can cause serious infections, especially for people who are older, pregnant, or have weakened immune systems. Common symptoms of a listeria infection may include muscle aches, headache, fever, stiff neck, loss of balance, confusion and convulsions. In addition some individuals may experience diarrhea or other digestive problems.
